Admonition to Public Worship II – Hebrews 10:19-25
Greetings GracePoint Family!
This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it (Ps. 118:24). This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday which refers to the fiftieth day after Easter. Pentecost was originally celebrated as a Jewish festival called Shavuot, 50 days after the festival of Passover.
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he promised that the Holy Spirit would come to all believers (Jn. 14:26; 15:26). Pentecost is the day of his arrival (Acts 2:1-4). The Church began that very day. All who would believe in Jesus would be immediately and permanently indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13-14).
The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of eternal salvation as well as the source of power to live like Jesus. Today as we continue to face the challenges of COCID-19, we can face tomorrow with peace and hope because the Spirit of Pentecost lives within each of us!
LET US continue to worship God passionately in the power of the Spirit. Please join me as we learn more about the Admonition to Worship found in Hebrews 10:19-25.

Last week I made a mistake regarding how the temple veil was torn. It was torn from top to bottom (Mk. 15:38).
