Dr. J. Scott Horrell, known to us as “Scott,” grew up in this church and has deep connections with us and Ephrata. Scott and Ruth live in Texas where Scott is Professor of Theological Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.
Dr. Horrell has been a missionary and theologian in various world cultures, in addition to evangelism and church-planting with World Team, InterVarsity, and Youth with a Mission (YWAM). Along with cofounding and editing a leading Latin American theological journal, he has written several books in Portuguese and English. He especially loves to orient students to a global understanding of Christian faith and the implications of the triune God for all of life.
There is a depth and richness in the Body of Christ, His Church, and we all need to hear other voices from time to time. Therefore, through the month of September and the first week of October Scott will be teaching us in five sessions on the implications of the triune God. Scott comes to us through the generosity of the Passion Global Institute in partnership with Dallas Theological Seminary.
