Correcting Our Vision in the New Year – Psalm 103:1-5

How is your vision? Everyone needs a vision checkup and the New Year is a great time to have your vision tested. Our outlook can become clouded by using the lens of our own wisdom, our own logic, pragmatism, individualism, consumeristic tendencies, our own experience and, of course, pride. Or we can put on the correct prescription that represent the clear view of faith in Scripture.

It is important to remember the goodness of God in your life. We do this by applying the lens of Scripture that enables us to acquire an undistorted view of the greatness, goodness, and graciousness of God. Without the corrective lens of Scripture applied to our lives we will not rightly see our own lives in the light of God’s will.
