Unity of the Church: The Case for Unity ~ John 17:20-23

Today we begin a new mini series as we take a brief break from our study of 1 Samuel to talk about the unity of God’s church. We leave 1 Samuel at a time when they as a nation are fairly unified after the coronation of King Saul. But they are reminded by Samuel that the unity they are experiencing right now is in following an earthly king, not the King of Heaven and Earth.

We are not Israel, but we are members of God’s church. When we look, we can see divisions within our own churches as well as in God’s church throughout all the nations. But do you ever wonder, wouldn’t it be easier to simply stay home? Do you ever ask, are divisions in the Body of Christ justifiable? Isn’t us getting along all that matters, or are there legitimate reasons to separate? Join Pastor Tony as he askes these questions and more as he directs us to the scriptures for answers.
